Julia King

A former K-8 teacher and principal, Julia King joined AMES three years ago after 28 years in education because she wasn't ready to stop working with young people. As an IU graduate who started out exploratory herself, she has a soft spot for students who aren't sure what they want to do yet. She takes a holistic approach, checking in on work-life balance alongside classes and majors, and loves connecting students with career coaches, peer coaches, and the focus assessment. A longtime Hoosier and fan of IU football and basketball, her best tip for appointments is to come in with a plan, even if it isn't perfect.
